VENICE ' 11

Last August, I went to Venice with my family for three days, from 13th to 16th. We decided to go on holidays the same week, as we didn’t know if my father would work or not.  We did the suitcases the night before and the next morning we took the plane (from Girona) at 2:00pm. When we arrived at 3:30pm at Marco Polo airport, we took a typical venetian transport: the vaporetto!
This day we walked a lot, mainly because we didn’t find the hotel, and people didn’t know anything about it. Finally, after an hour walking in the narrow  streets with the suitcases, we found the hotel! It was located in the Jewish Quarter, a half an hour walking to the center. During the three days, we visited “piazza San Marco”, the biggest square I’ve never seen, “Rialto”, a bridge with more than 200 stairs with some shops in, which it links San Polo quarter to San Marco quarter, and a lot of important museums and famous bridges.
We visited the canals of the old and magic city with a gondola  during an hour.  It was a great and unforgettable expirence that I’ll never forget.
Finally, after visited the beautiful city-water, we return at home on 16th August night.
It was a short but  intensive weekend in the majestic city-water of Italy.
